<skipDays> is an optional sub-element of <channel>. skipDays is an hint for aggregators telling them which days they can skip. This element contains up to seven <day> sub-elements whose value is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Aggregators may not read the channel during days listed in the <skipDays> element.

This accessor method returns a reference to the live list, not a
snapshot. Therefore any modification you make to the returned list will
be present inside the JAXB object. This is why there is not a
set method for the day property.
For example, to add a new item, do as follows:
